IdeaSown is a growing collection of original concepts developed by Patrick Reynolds. Some ideas resemble real technologies or established approaches, but they do not currently exist. They are shared openly so others can use, adapt, or develop them in ways that are useful and appropriate. All material is released under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International Licence (CC BY 4.0).

The ideas span multiple domains — including energy systems, AI and digital infrastructure, materials science, health technologies, environmental monitoring, and systems‑level theory. They range from early conceptual outlines to detailed technical proposals. Across all topics, each idea follows a consistent structure: identifying a clear problem, outlining a practical or exploratory pathway, and presenting the concept in a form that can be adapted or extended by researchers, engineers, and collaborative teams.

This portfolio includes work on advanced energy storage, hybrid generation systems, biosensing, environmental intelligence, digital optimisation, human‑system interfaces, novel materials, and new theoretical models. Examples include energy‑harvesting tiles, semantic AI tools, biosensor architectures, soil‑health monitoring, digital authenticity systems, adaptive simulations, and conceptual frameworks for gravitational and cosmological behaviour. Although diverse, these ideas share a common purpose: to provide structured starting points for further investigation and development.

Patrick has also developed several concepts specifically for the Western Balkans, focusing on areas where the region has distinctive strategic potential. These include a cross‑border AI/Data Centre model for the Trebinje–Dubrovnik corridor, a satellite‑enabled water‑intelligence system for the six non‑EU Western Balkan states, and a National Risk Intelligence System designed to strengthen civil protection and climate‑risk management. Each proposal is structured as a practical, buildable framework intended to support regional resilience, economic development, and long‑term strategic planning.

Patrick’s background includes water and environmental management, where the work focused on developing strategies and implementing policies, as well as digital design, which involved creating a wide range of websites for different purposes. Innovation has been a consistent thread throughout — centred on developing fresh concepts and exploring new approaches to complex problems.

The ideas presented here are intended to support collaboration between universities, engineers, research teams, and organisations interested in exploring or developing them further. Patrick is open to collaborating on existing concepts and on new ideas proposed by others, where shared thinking may lead to practical or innovative outcomes.
